Peer Review Process

JSC selects articles through a peer review process by "double-blind" method, once the formal review of the manuscript is sent to the editor of area depending on the scope of its content. The editor reviewer shall send it anonymously to two reviewers, and at least send you your assessment and possible modifications. The editor will perform a final review of synthesis. The modified contents should be submitted by the author in the period agreed. After the reception of the modifications, the editor of the journal will decide ultimately on its acceptance and eventual publication date.

Publication Frequency

Journal articles can be published collectively, as part of an issue with its own Table of Contents. Alternatively, individual articles can be published as soon as they are ready, by adding them to the "current" volume's Table of Contents.

Frecuency of publication: 2 per year (June & December)

Ethical Guidelines and Malpractice Statement

Our ethic statements are based on Cope’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
  • All studies on patients or volunteers and animal studies must have been approved by the authors’ Institutional Review Board. The relevant Ethics committee/institution review boards of the respective institutions must approve the study. These should be documented in the paper.
  • Informed consent must be obtained for all participants, Case Reports, Clinical Pictures, and Adverse Drug Reactions. Authors should send a statement signed by Corresponding Author confirming that authors have obtained consent from the patient. It must be available if requested by the editorial staff.
  • Please include written consent of any cited individual(s) noted in acknowledgments.

An editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.

Manuscripts submitted must not have been published as copyrighted material elsewhere. Manuscripts under review by the Journal should not be submitted for consideration by other publication as copyrighted material. By submitting a manuscript, the author(s) agree that the copyright will be transferred to Journal if the manuscript and associated multimedia are accepted for publication. The author(s) retain the rights to the fair use (e.g., teaching and nonprofit uses) of the published material.
